Evaluation, Diagnosis, and Planning

Through Precise Imaging

To optimize all stages of treatment with Angel Aligner®, Align Technology developed the ITero Element® – a high-precision scanner that enables real-time intraoral visualization.

This is a crucial tool for orthodontists, as it provides precise images of the dental arches. With these elements, it is then possible to correctly evaluate, diagnose, and plan the orthodontic treatment.

The ITero Element brings numerous advantages for orthodontists, but there are also benefits for the patient, such as comfort and convenience. Through this tool, the dentist collects images of the arches, eliminating the need for traditional molds, which usually cause discomfort.

In addition, speed is another advantage of this scanner, as the capture of images of the upper and lower arches is done very quickly, taking only between three to five minutes. This digital model is then sent by the orthodontist to Align Technology, which will begin producing the aligners.

In just a few days, the patient can begin treatment. This speed is also combined with precision, as the images collected by the ITero Element are high-definition and more accurate than those obtained through traditional molds, which have a much higher error rate.

But there's more.

The patient can also see, through 3D images, the differences between the initial positioning of their teeth and the desired position to be achieved with the use of Angel Aligner® aligners.
