Passionate about Medicine and aesthetics, he is dedicated exclusively to orthodontics and facial orthopedics and, over two decades, has gathered extensive experience and know-how in these fields.

The continuous investment in knowledge and innovation to offer patients the most cutting-edge techniques, with high levels of safety and success, led Dr. Pedro Costa Monteiro to become the first Portuguese user of Dental Monitoring technology, currently serving as a key opinion leader for this technology.

Graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the University of Porto (pre-Bologna – 6 years), he also holds a postgraduate degree in orthodontics from the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Saúde-Norte and a Master's in Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics from the Instituto Superior de Ciências
de Saúde-Norte.

A dentist since 2002, Dr. Pedro Costa Monteiro is also certified in the Damon® system, Incognito™ lingual orthodontics, and Angel Aligner®, to which he has particularly dedicated himself in recent years. From 2021 to 2023, he was an Invisalign Diamond Apex Provider and Key Opinion Leader. Since 2024, he has been a KOL and scientific board member
of Angel Aligner.

Putting the scientific knowledge he has acquired at the service of new generations, Dr. Pedro combines clinical practice with teaching. Connected to the education sector since 2000, he was an assistant at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the University of Porto in the Preventive Dentistry service in 2001, 2002, and 2003. In the following three years, he was also the head of Preventive Dentistry at the Instituto Superior do Alto Ave.

In 2012, he was invited to join the Natural Smile Academy, where he was responsible for the modular postgraduate course in orthodontics until 2018.

In 2024, Dr.Pedro Costa Monteiro solidified his position as one of the most prominent orthodontic specialists in Portugal by becoming the first Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Speaker for Angel Aligner in the country. His extensive experience and innovative approach in the field of clear aligners have made him a reference both nationally and internationally. With this appointment, Dr. Pedro Costa Monteiro has taken on a crucial role in sharing knowledge and promoting best clinical practices among professionals in the field.

Furthermore, in 2024, Dr.Pedro Costa Monteiro joined the Clinical Board and the Scientific Board of Angel Aligner, where he directly contributes to the development of the company's clinical and scientific strategies. His participation on these boards reinforces his commitment to excellence and innovation, significantly influencing the advancement of dental alignment solutions in the European market.

In the same year, his outstanding work was widely recognized when he won the Orthodontics category award at the DentalPro Best Dentist Awards. These awards aim to honor the work of Portuguese dental professionals, with 22 accolades dedicated to various fields of dentistry.
